FCA increases Financial Ombudsman compensation limits

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has confirmed the increase to the Financial Ombudsman's award limits for the coming financial year.

The award limit is the maximum amount the FCA can require a financial business to pay when the ombudsman upholds complaints against these businesses. 

This limit is adjusted each year in line with inflation, as measured by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI).
