Female board hires fall by almost a third in 2023

Appointments of female board directors to the UK’s largest financial services firms declined 28 percentage points year-on-year in 2023, according to EY's European financial services boardroom monitor.

The research revealed that just 33 percent of all appointments last year were of female directors, down from 61 percent in 2022.
