As a difficult news year draws to a close, we thought we would lighten the mood a little by asking you to share pictures of your pets celebrating the festive season.

From Christmas jumpers to posing in front of lights or Christmas trees or perhaps getting muddled up in wrapping paper, we would like to see how your pets are getting involved in the festivities. 

The winning entry will receive a bottle of champagne as a prize.
