Fintech firm Refinitiv has appointed Charles Smith, a former EY managing director, as head of digital solutions for wealth management.

Mr Smith will work on the wealth business’s strategic direction, including building out mobile distribution, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities for wealth managers.

Mr Smith previously spent eight years as a managing director in EY’s wealth and asset management practice, where he worked with many of the top 10 US financial services institutions on key wealth management areas such as product strategy, client and adviser experience design and development.
