Sanlam’s former head of partnerships and wealth planning has joined a financial services compliance firm, within which he is launching an M&A service for advice firms.

Alex Morley worked for Sanlam until December 2019, latterly as head of partnerships. Prior to this role he spent four years as chief executive of wealth planning. He joined Sanlam when it acquired English Mutual in 2013 – a firm he was chief executive of.

His new venture at compliance firm SimplyBiz is called ‘Horizon’ and is a service for advisory firms looking to exit the industry, as well as those looking to grow their firms through buyouts...
