Mr Ross took his present role, as vice chairman for wealth management, in 2019 when he handed executive leadership of the business to its present head Peter Hall.
Mr Ross has since taken on several other commitments including as chairman of Witan and as a non-executive director of Polar Capital, which are now taking up a significant amount of time, he said in an email announcing the change.
