The total wealth of billionaires has increased by $2 trillion in the last year.
According to research by Forbes, the total wealth of billionaires has increased from 16 percent, from $12.2 trillion in 2023 to $14.2 trillion in 2024.
The figure has also surpassed the previous record in 2021 by $1.1 trillion.
In the past year, the total number of billionaires has grown by 141 from 2,640 to 2,781.
