Hargreaves Lansdown has appointed John Troiano as an independent non-executive director (INED) of the firm and its subsidiary asset management company, Hargreaves Lansdown Fund Managers.

He will also join the group board risk committee.

His appointment is effective from 1 January 2020, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Troiano brings investment and asset management experience having spent 38 years with Schroders. During this time, he held a range of roles including investment research and analysis, fund management, and has worked across both the retail and institutional divisions.
