UK investors and business owners have become more optimistic about the country’s long-term prospects over the last six months, despite the pandemic and ballooning national debt.
While short-term pessimism had grown, according to UBS’s quarterly sentiment monitor, 80 percent at the end of Q2 2020 said they were either positive (58 percent) or neutral (22 percent) about the UK’s longer-term economic prospects.
