HMRC has issued a warning to taxpayers to be extra vigilant as it has become aware of a phishing campaign telling customers they can claim a tax refund to help protect themselves from the coronavirus outbreak.
As many people are feeling anxious about the Covid-19 outbreak and what it could mean for their jobs, health and businesses, taxpayers may be more vulnerable to these sort of scams.
