A new piece of research amongst high-net worth investors (HNWIs) shows a lack of understanding of the effect inflation has on cash savings.
A Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (CGWM) and YouGov survey of 1,006 HNWIs – defined as those with investible assets exceeding £750,000 – found the cohort estimated that £1000 put in a savings account 10 years ago would be worth £1,404 today.
