HSBC Private Bank hires private office CEO as wealth planning head

The former chief executive of Knox Private Office, Jeremy Franks, has been appointed as head of wealth planning and advisory for EMEA within HSBC Private Bank, a newly-created position.

Mr Franks had led Mayfair-based multi-family office Knox Private Office for three years, prior to which he spent 12 years at UBS, latterly as head of wealth planning.

His early career was spent at PwC in the entrepreneurs and private clients team, and at Smith & Williamson in the private client tax division.

Mr Franks started his new role today (8 July), and is based at HSBC’s London Mayfair office, on Cork Street.
