HSBC is facing a £1.3 billion lawsuit, which alleges its private banking arm recommended investors an unsuitable film investment scheme which caused them to lose millions.
Law firm Edwin Coe has filed the suit on behalf of 371 investors, many of whom have been forced to declare bankruptcy, or are facing demands from HMRC for millions of pounds.
