Increase in number of cyber attacks prevented by financial services- research

Financial services firms stopped four out of five (81 percent) of all cyberattacks in 2017, up from two-thirds (66 percent) in 2016, according to a study conducted by Accenture.

Over 80 percent of executives surveyed expressed confidence in their security protocols across all technologies and capabilities.

However, while more breach attempts were stopped, over 40 percent of breaches went undetected for more than a week, while another nine percent went undetected for over a month.
