Private equity firm Warburg Pincus is considering a bid for Quilter, according to reports.
Bloomberg reported yesterday that “people familiar with the matter” said Warburg Pincus is considering putting in an offer for Quilter, which has been listed on the London Stock Exchange for 18 months and is on the market for £2.9 billion.
However, a representative from Quilter told thewealthnet that the firm declined to comment.
If the deal were to go ahead, Warburg Pincus would be the latest in a slew of private equity firms to buy wealth management companies.
