Julius Baer International has appointed Alan Hooks as head of London, thewealthnet can reveal. Mr Hooks will take on the role in addition to his current position as head of wealth planning.

Mr Hooks trained as an accountant at Deloitte and has also worked at HSBC and Lloyds Bank. He joined Julius Baer in 2013, at the same time as it acquired the Merrill Lynch International business, in order to build its wealth planning services.

Mr Hooks will take on leadership of the London-based relationship management teams and help Calum Brewster, head of regions UK, with the roll out of the firm’s Your Wealth initiative...
