Julius Baer’s joint venture granted Thai license

A joint venture by Julius Baer and Thai bank Siam Commercial Bank’s (SCB) has received the necessary licences and approvals to operate in Thailand.

SCB Julius Baer will focus on bringing global wealth management capabilities to clients in the Thai wealth management market through its 50 staff.

The joint venture will deliver advice and solutions to Thailand’s high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals.

Jiralawan Tangitvet joins the firm as chief executive of SCB Julius Baer. Investment specialist Ms Tangitvet joins the firm from Kasikorn Securities, where most recently she was managing director.
