Losses narrow at Manchester wealth boutique despite spending hike

Artorius Wealth has seen its losses narrow on top of hefty revenue and AUM growth, despite a hiring spree taking a toll on its expense bill.

Artorius, founded in 2014 by the late Richard Algar and Credit Suisse colleague James Phillips, posted a loss of approximately £500,000 in the year to 30 April 2019, an improvement on 2018’s £700,000 loss.

Over the year, revenue grew 29 percent to £4.5 million, while assets under management were also up 29 percent, to £883 million.
