Major Asian bank thanks wealth management for income increase

Net fee and income for the wealth management business at Singapore’s DBS totalled $1,141 million for 2018, a year on year increase of 18 percent.

This, along with a 31 percent increase in income from the cards business, was cited by the bank as the driver of a six percent increase in overall net income.

For the fourth quarter alone wealth management’s net fee and income dropped four percent year on year to $218 million.
