New Gen Z investors 'reflecting' on GameStop lessons learnt

The GameStop saga and pandemic seems to have resulted in a surge of ‘Gen Z’ investors – who pose a challenge and opportunity for advisers given their relatively risky investment styles.

F&C Investment Trust surveyed 750 UK adults aged 18 to 23 in April, 16 percent of whom said they had become first-time investors in the past 12 months. Nine percent of the sample said they had been directly influenced to invest for the first time by the GameStop saga...
