Wealth managers are back in the black following a dismal final quarter of 2018.
Performance data estimates from ARC, released today, show that private client portfolios in the highest risk quartile gained 7.9 percent in the first quarter of 2019. This is compared to the 6.5 percent they lost during full-year 2018, with significant losses occurring in the first and fourth quarters.
ARC Research’s Private Client Indices uses performance data supplied by discretionary private client investment managers, split into four risk profiles relative to equity markets: cautious, balanced asset, steady growth and equity risk.
