Number of over-70s in work plummets amid coronavirus restrictions

The number of people aged 70 and over who are working has fallen 22 percent compared to this time last year, analysis from Salisbury House Wealth shows.

Department for Work and Pensions data shows there were 452,000 people aged over 70 in work between April and June 2020, down from 578,000 in the same period in 2019.
