Octopus chief hands investment business to new leader after 19 years

Founder Simon Rogerson is stepping aside as chief executive of Octopus Investments after 19 years, making way for Ruth Handcock.

Mr Rogerson remains as chief executive of the rapidly growing Octopus Group, which also has business lines in private wealth, energy, health, venture capital, and property. He will remain as executive chairman of the investments business.

This is the first time a new chief executive has been appointed for Octopus Investments since the company was founded in 2000.
