Wealth management trade association PIMFA has alerted firms of a prominent phishing scam in the industry.

There has been a sudden increase in the amount of phishing emails sent in September, PIMFA warned.

In some of these emails, scammers have impersonated a company brand that has been targeting independent financial advisers (IFAs).
