Proposed CGT changes could wipe £2 billion from London economy

Almost £2 billion could be wiped from London economy with the threatened rise in Capital Gains Tax (CGT), real estate investment firm London Central Portfolio (LCP) has warned.

A report issued by the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS), requested by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, has considered an increase in CGT to align with current rates of income tax.
