Quilter Cheviot hires former Brooks Macdonald investment head

Quilter Cheviot has appointed former Brooks Macdonald investment manager Nick Holmes, as a managing director.

Mr Holmes will “support the firm’s ongoing growth strategy and drive a number of new initiatives”, Quilter Cheviot said in a statement.

Mr Holmes left Brooks Macdonald at the end of 2018, where he had spent his entire 22-year career, starting as a trainee and working up through the ranks to MD level, and leading the investment management business between 2008 and 2018.

He is the seventh former Brooks Macdonald staffer Quilter Cheviot has snapped up in as many months.
