Quilter to donate £50,000 to Afghan crisis response

The charity branch of wealth manager Quilter, the Quilter Foundation, is donating £50,000 to the international appeal launched by the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) in response to the crisis in Afghanistan.

The DEC comprises 15 UK aid charities, specialising in humanitarian aid and disaster response. Their latest appeal aims to help the eight million people in Afghanistan who are at risk of famine this winter.

The DEC reported over three million children under five are expected to suffer acute malnutrition by March 2022, with many at risk of dying.
