Rathbones has continued to show resiliency during a challenging year, posting Q3 2020 income of £87 million, a slight improvement on Q3 2019’s £86.3 million.
Investment management fees were up 1.3 percent compared to the same period last year, while commissions were 4.4 percent higher than Q3 2019.
Commissions were, however, 39.5 percent lower than in Q2 2020, reflecting a return to more normal levels of client trading after the market volatility in the first half.
Net interest income for the quarter halved year-on-year, to £2.2 million.
