London-based Smith & Williamson, an investment management, accountancy and tax group, has recruited Rupert Phelps as a partner to develop and grow its combined family offices services.

Mr Phelps joins Smith & Williamson from Savills where he was director of family office services. Prior to joining Savills he held a similar position at BNY Mellon. He also worked at UBS Asset Management, Euromoney and Merrill Lynch in a career that spans around 20 years in the financial services sector.
