Sanlam picks up £1.2bn fund mandates from S&W

Smith & Williamson (S&W) has handed over the management of funds worth £1.2 billion to Sanlam Investments, the asset management boutique of wealth management group Sanlam.

The eight funds, including a £584 million artificial intelligence fund, will take Sanlam Investments’ funds under management to £7.3 billion. Ten staff, including six fund managers, will move to Sanlam as part of the deal which is subject to approval by S&W shareholders.
