Santander Private Banking makes gains as group’s profits jump

Santander’s private banking, asset management and insurance businesses made a total contribution to the group of €2.3 billion in 2021, up 12 percent year on year in a strong year for the Spanish banking giant.

This amount includes net profit and total generated net fees of taxes. 

Overall, Banco Santander achieved an attributable profit of €8.1 billion in 2021, which compares to an attributable loss of €8.8 billion in 2020 which was put down to bad loans and foreign exchange movements...
