St James’s Place (SJP) has appointed Tom Beal as director of investments and a member of the group’s executive board.

He will succeed Rob Gardner, who has left his role to set up a new venture in the environmental sector. He held the role for three years.

Mr Beal has worked at SJP for 14 years and was previously chief investment officer.

Before this, he worked at JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, and Thomson Reuters in a range of investment-related roles.
