SJP merges UK funds in attempt to improve performance consistency

St James’s Place has made changes to its fund range, as it looks to create asset class “building blocks” – multi-manager funds that help clients diversify, it said.

Three funds – UK Growth, UK Equity funds, and UK & General Progressive – will join and become the UK fund.

New managers, Baillie Gifford and LA Capital Management, will join RWC, Columbia Threadneedle, BlackRock, and Schroders in managing the fund. Majedie Asset Management, which had looked after UK Growth since 2012, has been removed. The UK Growth fund returned 21.4 percent in the five years to 31 March 2021.
