The 'curse' of the Superwoman

At first glance the decision of Katherine Garratt-Cox to leave Dundee-based Alliance Trust an investment trust and financial services firm (see thewealthnet 15/02/2016), provides another instance of the “curse of the superwoman”.

It seems that once a woman has reached or neared the top of her particular profession and has managed to successfully raise a family concurrently she is automatically granted the soubriquet of “superwoman” by the media. And more or less destined to fail thereafter.
