Third of British billionaires have ‘moved offshore’ – report

A third of British billionaires have moved, or are moving to tax havens after an exodus over the past decade, an investigation by The Times has found.

They are among 6,800 Britons controlling 12,000 UK firms from low-tax jurisdictions. The Exchequer is denied billions a year but many of the bosses still reap the benefits of British assets, the newspaper noted.

Its analysis found that of 93 British billionaires, 28 had either relocated or were in the process of moving.
