Top 1 percent own 44 percent of world's wealth - Credit Suisse report

Global wealth grew during the past year by 2.6 percent to US $360 trillion, with wealth per adult reached a new record high of $70,850, according to Credit Suisse.

The 10th edition of the Credit Suisse Research Institute’s Global Wealth report found this figure is 1.2 percent above the level of mid-2018.

Total wealth hit $360.6 trillion in mid-2019, having recovered from its fall to $345.4 trillion at the end of 2018, having previously stood at $351.5 trillion at the end of 2017.
