UK a story of 'Ferraris and foodbanks', charity says

A charity in the UK has analysed the country’s five wealthiest families as a means of illustrating stark inequality.

Analysis of the Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report as well as Forbes data by The Equality trust showed that the Hinduja Brothers, James Ratcliff, Michael Platt, David Reuben, and Simon Reuben have net assets worth nearly £40 billion.

Meanwhile the bottom 20 percent of the UK population (approximately 13.2 million people) have net debt of nearly £68 billion. The trust said that this group, which includes 4 million children, live below the poverty line.
