Walker Crips opts to repay furlough money despite H1 losses

Investment and wealth manager Walker Crips slipped back into losses in the first half of its financial year, after encouraging progress in 2019/20.

The firm posted a pre-tax loss of £451,000 in the six months to 30 September, compared with a profit of £620,000 in the same period last year.

Revenue fell in both its wealth and investment management divisions. Total revenue before commission and fees for the six-month period was down 7.9 percent to £14.4 million (H1 2019: £15.6 million).
