Stanhope Capital, which now oversees $28 billion (£20.4 billion) in client assets, has appointed Chris Shelley, a former Goldman Sachs executive, as its chief financial officer.

Mr Shelley starts immediately and is based in London. He previously spent 14 years with Goldman Sachs, working in roles across finance and private wealth management. Most recently, he was the chief financial officer for private wealth management EMEA.
