Will Vanguard disrupt the UK advisory market?

Vanguard's announcement that it is considering entering the UK advisory market makes perfect sense.

Vanguard has amassed considerable experience, together with the underpinning infrastructure, in providing low-cost advisory services to US clients for a number of years.

It is also expanding the range of investment wrappers available to UK customers. A self-invested personal pension offering (SIPP) is scheduled for launch in 2020 to augment the existing flexible ISAs and general accounts that Vanguard currently offers.

Given the nature of pension options available after 2015 it could be considered almost axiomat...
