Women at greater risk of financial anxiety than men – research

Almost half of female employees (45 percent) say they feel a greater level of financial anxiety than before the pandemic, compared with 38 percent of men who feel similarly.

Research from Close Brothers found 59 percent of women have either made or plan to make changes to their financial preparedness.

However, everyday spending (73 percent) and building emergency savings (65 percent) are their top priorities.
