Women in the workplace more financially vulnerable than male counterparts

The financial turmoil in recent years has not hit evenly, creating real vulnerabilities for certain segments of the population, according to research from Close Brothers’ workplace financial wellbeing services.

Within the workplace, this imbalance is particularly apparent between the genders. Women are consistently more financially vulnerable than men, with an overall financial wellbeing index score of 54 compared to 60 for men.
