Bahamas leak 'new ammunition' for HMRC in war against tax evasion

The fresh leak of offshore data from the Bahamas will provide HMRC and other global jurisdictions with further ammunition in the ongoing war against tax evasion, accountancy firm Blick Rothenberg has warned.

Five months after the release of the Panama Papers, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has published details of a leaked cache of 1.3 million internal files from the corporate registry in the Bahamas.

Details of more than 175,000 Bahamian companies registered between 1990 and 2016 are now publicly available, including those linked to politicians - including UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd ...
