Divorce spike following no-fault legislation continues

There were 24,273 divorce applications between October and December 2022, statistics published by the UK Ministry of Justice showed.

This was an increase of five percent from the same quarter in 2021.

Since no fault law came into effect on 6 April 2022, there have been 89, 123 applications made.

Meanwhile, the number of divorce applications increased by 11 percent in the past year from 108,286 in 2021 to 119,709 in 2022. This is the highest levels since 2012....
