Mossack Fonseca shuts down registered agent services across number of jurisdictions

Embattled law firm Mossack Fonseca has announced that it will no longer provide Registered Agent services in five jurisdictions following its involvement in the Panama Papers scandal.

In a letter sent to clients outlining the closures, Mossack Fonseca said that as a consequence of the “publications made by the ICIJ with the information stolen from our database” the firm had “suffered irreparable damages” that prevents it from providing its services as Registered Agent in the different jurisdictions in which it operates.
