A quick look at what’s been going on in Europe...

Two more European jurisdictions have enacted mandatory disclosure rules, resulting from DAC6. Both Gibraltar and Malta have now enacted legislation to implement the mandatory tax planning disclosure rules set out by Council Directive (EU) 2018/822 (DAC6). 

Reporting starts from 1 July 2020, and exchanges between jurisdictions will begin from 31 October 2020, although the reports will retroactively cover arrangements where the first step is implemented between 25 June 2018 a...
