A quarter of inheritors ditch parent's wealth adviser

After inheriting, 28.3 percent of high net worth clients’ children discontinue the relationship with their parents’ wealth manager, according to research conducted by data and analytics company, GlobalData.

The company’s report titled '2019: Trends to Watch in Global Wealth Management' found 38 percent of the global high net worth population is above the age of 60, which equates to 4.3 million individuals.

As a result, wealth managers need to have a strategy in place to appeal to the next generation of investors.
