Does Tellsons, the fictitious bank that provided the backdrop to some of the events in Charles Dickens’ “A Tale of Two Cities” provide a compelling analogue for a contemporary investment management boutique?

Joe Bunting, Christoph Wiederbach and John Bishop, the three co-founders of Chelsea-based Tellsons Investors, clearly think so.

Not only have they named their partnership after Dickens’ eponymous bank. Tellsons Bank also provides its inspiration.
