Credit Suisse UK has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO), as Alistair Conner steps down after two years, thewealthnet can reveal.

His replacement is Simon Politzer, who will be reinstated as COO for Credit Suisse UK and the market area UK, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr Politzer returns from two years in Zurich, where he headed the UK international platform. He initially joined Credit Suisse in 2010 and served in various regional management roles before joining the international wealth management division in 2015. Prior to this he worked for the Bank of England for six years.
