Things do move slowly, very slooooowly at C. Hoare & Co.  By comparison, continental drift is rather like Speedy Gonzalez on...er...speed.

Some years back, there apparently was a huge debate within Hoare’s Bank over opening a branch in the West End of London, to wit 32 Lowndes Street, in addition to its head office.
